Overlap is the sport-trivia race. Everyone picks a team, the house deals the rest, and the clock starts. Name every player you can who's turned out for two or more of them — the deeper the overlap, the more it scores.
Pick. Reveal. Race.
Every turn is a chain of teams and a ticking clock. Know your transfers and you'll be first to the buzzer.
Pick your team
Each player locks in a club — Barcelona, Milan, Ajax, anything goes. Your pick joins the board as everyone watches.
The house deals the rest
The board fills to seven teams with sides nobody picked. Everyone can score off those too.
Claim as many as you can
The clock runs. Name any player who turned out for two or more of those teams — the more teams they cover, the more it pays. Every name is claimed once.
Two ways to play
Same question everywhere — who turned out for two of these? Only the size of the board and the length of the clock change.
Rally
Everyone against everyone on one shared board. You pick a club, the house deals the rest up to seven, and then it is a race — every athlete can be claimed once, and the more of the board they cover, the more they pay.
Duel
Exactly two. Picks are sequential and blind — both players choose from the whole catalogue, and neither sees the other until the board opens. Land on two clubs nobody has played for and the round is thrown away rather than played.
Easy, Hard, Legend
The host sets it. The clock tightens from 90 seconds to 50, and the scoring curve steepens underneath it: a three-team answer pays 3 on Hard and 5 on Legend, a four-team answer 4 and 10.
Seasons, not ranks
A season is a calendar month. Two boards run alongside each other, and they measure different things on purpose.
The ladder
Ranked on average share — the fraction of the points actually on the board that you took. It is the only measure that survives boards of different richness, which is why the dealer aims for a band rather than a maximum.
Best boards
The single best rounds anyone has played this season, with the board that produced them. No qualifying threshold, so one exceptional round puts you on it on day one.
Ranked play
Deferred, deliberately. A rating means nothing until there are enough players to rate against, so these boards are labelled as performance rather than skill — and that promise is not being made early.
